Tasks:
- Deliver accurate, timely, and clear legal advice and support, primarily for Dutch operations.
- Proactively identify potential legal issues and develop effective solutions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents (supply agreements, service agreements, licensing agreements, framework agreements).
- Support the sales and marketing teams with contract negotiations, requests for proposals (RFPs), and proposals.
- Collaborate with the product development team to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Advise on compliance matters, including data protection and privacy regulations.
- Ensure compliance with policies across the business.
- Maintain legal compliance with national and international laws, as well as local statutes and regulations.
- Proactively manage claims and disputes arising from Dutch business, seeking external counsel when necessary to minimize costs and ensure swift resolution.
- Handle corporate governance and secretarial duties, including filing and maintaining business registrations, and managing legal documents and corporate records for (Netherlands).
- Stay informed about export control regulations (EU and national) and implement them within the company.

This position involves a one-year contract with YER followed by a permanent transition to the company.

- At least 5 years of experience working as a lawyer and compliance specialist, preferably in the industry sector or a law firm with a focus on commercial laws
- Strong drafting, negotiating, and analytical skills
- Knowledge of Dutch and EU data protection and privacy laws and export control regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in Dutch and English
