The Team Lead Planning Operations is responsible for managing the timely execution of new build projects in accordance with customer requirements, as well as developing the Planning Operations team and reports to the Manager Shop.
What needs to be done?
- Development and management of the Operations planners.
- Leading and preparing daily management meetings and monitors the progress of new build projects and indicates any risks to the team on timely delivery according to the Master schedule.
- Initiating improvements within the process.
- Contact person for internal customers regarding operations.
- Monitoring and planning of activities regarding new build assembly from receipt till dispatch.
- Maintain, present and development of relevant KPI’s regarding operations.
- Create and update capacity planning for new build operations and forecasted projects in combination with current backlog and advises the sales department on production capacity and lead times and has periodic calls with the external suppliers for external operations as painting, pickling passivating and balancing to ensure timely execution.
- Manage overall operations activities to ensure all new construction projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality requirements to meet customer requirements.
- Initiating and implementing improvement projects.

What do you need to bring?
- Proven experience in coaching a Team within a production environment.
- Coordination and delegation – retain oversight on activities and priorities, delegate and prioritize accordingly.
- Demonstrated competencies in capacity and project planning and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of ERP systems.
- Understanding and assessing construction drawings and piping & instrumentation diagrams.
- Preferred knowledge of technical documents and specifications.
- Technical education on HBO level.
- Full proficiency in the English language.
- As a personality, you have a no-nonsense mentality, can deal with the daily hectic and are able to work under pressure. You are proactive, transparent, take initiative and think in process improvement and have a diversity and inclusiveness mentality.
