Mechanical Design Engineer
Role and responsibilities
Design Requirements and specifications
- Identify, elicit and document project/process requirements using appropriate modeling technique if required. Analyze requirements and validate with original users, eliminating confusion. Define the testing approach and/or test cases and verification criteria to ensure requirements are met. Maintain documentation and traceability throughout project.
Feasibility
- Contribute to and support feasibility studies from a technological and organizational perspective, and document findings.
Conceptualization
- Contribute to the development of and implement feasibility testing of proposed engineering solutions to provide feedback and data to validate the design.
Preliminary design
- Analyze and specify the System Engineering Guideline documents, according System Engineering Guidelines (SEG), including the constraints given by the requirements of Manufacturing, Logistics, Customer Support, Costs and Market. Prepare high level design of the (sub-) module fulfilling the requirements set while addressing architectural and interface choices. Document the high level design in the relevant SEG documents.
Detailed design
- Contribute to the development of and implement feasibility testing of proposed engineering solutions to provide feedback and data to validate the design. Detail out the design including its documentation, using Teamcenter and NX..
Product quality / Testing
- Conduct reviews for own designs, participate in reviews of other designers' designs., contribute to the specification of Qualification-, Integration-, and Production- Tests, design and produce associated test tools, realize the qualification of the design by ensuring the proto production, execute tests and report results. Use product specifications to design test procedures and standards. Contribute to the development and execution of test cases to provide feedback and data to validate the design including its documentation”.

Education and experience
- Master degree with limited experience or equivalent working and thinking level.
- +3 years relevant working experience. Work experience with Unigraphics NX required. ASML experience wanted.
- In-depth knowledge of own tasks within mechanical engineering expertise and basic sub-module & module knowledge.
Skills
Team player with good communicational skills. Good knowledge of English
