3DX Specialist
The Functional Application Specialist 3DX – Fluids (Piping, HVAC, and Mechanical) acts as a crucial link between business and IT, focusing on the development and design of engineering functionalities within the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform, particularly the 3Dexperience (3DX) platform. The contributions of this role drive efficiency and effectiveness within engineering processes, significantly impacting projects.
Tasks & Responsibilities are:
- Translating engineering business processes into functional specifications for the application.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to analyze issues and devise innovative solutions.
- Developing and implementing streamlined application processes.
- Maintaining productive relationships with suppliers and knowledge partners.
- Managing interfaces between applications and overseeing user rights within the system.
- Overseeing catalogues, libraries, specifications, and project-related data setup.
- Organizing and coordinating application-related training courses in partnership with the Manager of Engineering Support.
- Providing functional support to PLM/CAD users.
- Preparing and developing 3DX training materials, tips, application documentation, and user manuals.
- (Potentially) Performing activities as a Functional Application Specialist for Cadmatic (Outfitting) on their legacy tooling platform.

Candidates for the Functional Application Specialist 3DX – Fluids (Piping, HVAC, and Mechanical) position should meet the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree or proven competence in engineering,.
- Proficiency with the Dassault 3Dexperience (3DX) platform. Familiarity with the Cadmatic (Outfitting) application is also ideal.
- Knowledge of PLM principles and experience in functional application management.
- Excellent command of the English language, with proficiency in Dutch being advantageous.
- The ability to work in Schiedam, the Netherlands.
- Excellent references, as a security screening is part of the hiring process.
- Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required. Candidates with an EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible due to the military nature of the projects.
