Software Test Automation Engineer within a challenging high-tech organization!

As a Software Test Automation Engineer, you will work within a multidisciplinary Agile development team responsible for the development and testing of infrastructure platforms for combat management systems. The team is responsible for the entire development cycle, including requirements analysis, development, integration, testing, validation, and demonstrating the current status of the product. The infrastructure being developed will form the foundation for the organization’s products over the next 30 years.

As a Java Software Automation Tester, you will design, develop, and execute automated tests to ensure the quality and performance of Java-based applications. You will closely collaborate with the development team and QA to implement test strategies and ensure that automation solutions meet business needs. If you are passionate about test automation, a team player with a proactive attitude, constantly looking to develop your skills, and thrive in an Agile environment, you are the ideal candidate.

Key Responsibilities and Technical Skills

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java and test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber).
  • Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test data for both functional and non-functional testing.
  • Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects with detailed log files and replication steps.
  • Integrate test automation into CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines.
  • Collaborate with the development team to identify automation opportunities and prioritize test cases.
  • Perform regression, performance, and load testing for complex Java applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in automation scripts and applications across various environments.
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, and effectiveness of automated test frameworks and tools.
  • Maintain documentation for test automation frameworks, processes, and results.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • More than 5 years of experience in Java software development and Java-based test automation.
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and the software development lifecycle.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Certification in test automation or Java development is a plus.
  • More than 5 years of experience with Linux. Red Hat certification is a plus.
  • Flexibility and the ability to communicate fluently in English with various stakeholders.
