  • Lead and develop a commercially focused team (5 FTE based in The Netherlands and France), fostering collaboration and high performance.
  • Define and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction targets.
  • Manage procurement activities, aligning with organizational goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to align sales and procurement strategies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to drive synergies and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Prepare reports on sales performance and market trends to support strategic planning.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize HR data and analytics to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Report to the Head of Valves

Catering to industries such as oil and gas, chemical processing, and power generation, the Valves division offers a comprehensive range of products, including gate, globe, check, and ball valves, as well as custom-engineered solutions. With a commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, the Valves unit ensures clients receive optimal support for their operational needs. This dual focus on global expertise and local service makes Buhlmann Netherlands—and its Valves business unit—a trusted partner for industries worldwide.

  • Bachelor’s degree (hbo+) in Commerce or a related field.
  • 10+ years of professional experience, including 5 years proven experience in a commercial or sales leadership role in the industrial valves or related technical industry.
  • Strong dealmaking skills with a strategic mindset and a track record of driving business growth.
  • Exceptional cultural sensitivity and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with international teams and stakeholders, including the headquarters in Germany.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, acting as a connector and bridge builder between diverse teams and cultures.
  • Solid understanding of sales and procurement processes, with a results-oriented approach.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Dutch and/or German is a strong advantage.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, both nationally and internationally.
