As the International Sales Director, you will be ultimately responsible for the growth of Royal Mosa's revenue and profit targets across all geographic areas outside the Netherlands, including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, France, the UK, Ireland, Nordics, APAC, US and the Middle East. You will set the commercial strategy and lead a commercial team (15 FTEs directly and 43 FTEs indirectly) in the respective countries. This is achieved through a goal-oriented approach, focusing on structured market development and active customer engagement. In this dynamic market, you will deal primarily with the specifying market (architects, building owners, housing corporations) as well as wholesalers/distributors in the construction industry. Your team will skillfully convince these parties of the importance of choosing Royal Mosa's portfolio.

The world in which Royal Mosa operates is rapidly evolving and has seen significant innovation in recent years (marketing, online, ICT, supply chain). The focus is on creating added value throughout the entire chain from producer to consumer and initiating improvements. The ultimate goal is a satisfied customer with revenue and margin growth for both parties.

Due to the growth ambition and potential, a key aspect of this role is communicating the commercial and brand vision to your team and executing it. You will develop the commercial team to the next level, both in terms of content, processes, and organization. You will coach your team in generating new business, maintaining and expanding existing relationships, with the goal of achieving the set targets and sales objectives. You are both analytical and a motivating people manager who strongly drives initiative and results. With natural leadership, you are a coach for the entire team, adapting your style to each team member.

You closely follow market and product developments and translate these into innovative sales and marketing strategies, taking regional differences into account. You will be supported by a strong Marketing and Customer Service team. Last but not least, you ensure and monitor excellent cooperation with the internal organization, leading to efficient and profitable results. In this role, you report to the CEO.

Royal Mosa designs, develops, and produces ceramic tiles in Maastricht. The organization consists of approximately 450 employees. In more than 50 countries across four continents, Mosa tiles adorn the walls, floors, facades, and terraces of private, commercial, and public buildings. Royal Mosa is a premium Dutch Design brand and produces its tiles from the purest raw materials. The organization embraces the Cradle to Cradle philosophy and strives to support customers as best as possible, enabling them to design iconic buildings worldwide that stand the test of time.

  • At least 5 years of proven leadership experience in a commercial role within a B2B2C (manufacturing) environment
  • Familiar with an international work environment (knowledge of cultural differences)
  • Familiar with common distribution business models/Channel Sales

  • Ownership, decisiveness, and a well-developed problem-solving ability are qualities that strongly apply to you
  • Strong English communication and writing skills (preferably also Dutch)
  • Analytical/strategic with execution power
  • Willingness to travel internationally regularly
