Your Role

As a Configuration Engineer, you will be responsible for capturing and managing all design and production information within this organization. This is vital to preserve product knowledge, even when certain components or designs become unavailable in the future. You will ensure that design documents, hardware data, and modifications are meticulously recorded in their systems, allowing them to easily reference past designs and productions.

You will work closely with engineers, ensuring that their design outputs are correctly stored in the appropriate structures and systems. This makes your role indispensable in the lifecycle of our products, from design through to production and any future updates.

Your Responsibilities

• Capture and manage technical documentation and hardware designs.
• Ensure accurate tracking of changes and manage product configurations.
• Collaborate with engineers, procurement, production, and other departments to effectively implement changes and innovations.
• Analyze the impact of product changes, for instance, when adapting existing designs to new specifications or innovations.

This organization operates in the field of highly qualified radio and network communication, command and control for defense applications, and civil organizations. With a team of around 200 professionals, the division in Huizen is an independent entity where product architecture, design, qualification, and production of communication equipment take place. They also handle installation in vehicles and provide customer support

• Salary: Depending on experience, ranging from €42,000 to €56,000 per year.
• Work Environment: A dynamic role in an industrial environment with extensive interaction with engineers and other departments.
• Flexibility: The ability to work 60% from home and 40% on-site.
• Holidays: 38 days

Your Profile

You may have a background in procurement, product development, production, or mechanical design. You have an affinity for technical processes and enjoy working in a structured manner with clear procedures. While engineers are focused on designing, you thrive on managing and securing the knowledge and information behind those designs.

• Education: MBO-level (Intermediate Vocational Education), preferably in a technical field.
• Experience: Demonstrated affinity with product development, engineering, or production processes.

• Tools: Experience with PLM systems like Windchill, Teamcenter, or ENOVIA is a plus
• Personality: You are a process-driven team player who enjoys collaborating with various disciplines in an industrial setting.
