As a Tactical Buyer, you are the key to our success, supporting the engineering department and finding innovative solutions to continue offering products in a dynamic environment!
As a Tactical Buyer, you will mainly support our engineering department from Supply Chain/Tactical Buying, ensuring a smooth design process. You collaborate with the procurement and engineering departments to source the necessary components for new designs and modifications to existing designs on time, while keeping the timely delivery to customers as a priority.
Additionally, you play a key role in the product obsolescence process. This process ensures that we can continue delivering products even when the components they are built from are no longer available. By finding alternative components or redesigning, continuity is ensured.
You coordinate between engineering and Supply Chain to solve these complex challenges.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to engage with many aspects of operations in Huizen, providing opportunities for growth in various directions. Interaction in this role primarily involves the Sales and Marketing, Bids and Projects, Finance, Procurement, and Engineering departments.
- Obtaining all necessary components (electronic and mechanical) for prototypes.
- Coordinating engineering deliveries (software/hardware) with the physical goods flow.
- Keeping track of all ongoing changes to maintain an overview.
- Communicating this overview to minimize the impact on customer deliveries.
The Supply Chain, Services, and Operations department at our location in Huizen consists of over 90 employees dedicated to managing and processing all physical goods flows. They provide various services, including 24/7 customer support, and assist the location in various areas, such as facility management. This department serves as a shared service for all sectors active within the facility. Disciplines such as tactical buying, planning, production, warehouse management, 24/7 services, and on-site service delivery are all part of this department.

We are looking for a new colleague who:
- Has experience as a buyer or planner with a manufacturer of electronic devices.
- Has an affinity for technology.
- Holds a vocational or higher education level (preferably in electrical engineering).
- Has a solid knowledge of the electronic components market (preferred).
- Is structured, stress-resistant, detail-oriented, proactive, independent, and possesses strong analytical skills.
- Has good communication and interpersonal skills, with a good command of the English language.
