Linux DevOps Engineer within a great high-tech organization!
At the core of this Engineering cluster is the software engineering department, where they lead the development of state-of-the-art combat and information management systems for naval vessels. Within the software engineering department, and specifically in the CMS (Combat Management System) infrastructure team, we are seeking exceptional talent.
About the Role
As a DevOps Platform Engineer, you will work within multidisciplinary Agile teams responsible for maintaining, developing, and testing the infrastructure software platforms that support combat management systems. These teams handle the entire development lifecycle — from requirements analysis, development, maintenance, patching, integration, deployment, and testing, to validating and demonstrating the product's current status. The role is diverse, requiring flexibility and adaptability.

You should be committed to continuous learning and staying updated with industry developments.
You should hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, IT service management, or a related field. Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.

Relevant Experience:
• Linux: 5+ years of experience. Red Hat certification is a plus.
• Software Maintenance: Experience maintaining software across different OS releases.
• Infrastructure as Code: Experience with Ansible (certification or demonstrable knowledge is a plus).
• Tools and Technologies: Experience with or willingness to quickly learn the following:
- Build pipelines and support tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Maven, Jira)
- Software containers & Kubernetes
- Confluence
- Network Technologies: Experience with network technologies (CCNA: Routing and Switching or equivalent is a plus).
- IT Security: Knowledge of IT security practices and tools (e.g., OpenScap, Nessus).
- Scaled Scrum: Experience is a plus.
