The key overall objective is value creation. Being part of the commercial team, you will support the development of business opportunities from idea inception all the way through to implementation. This will include economics and sensitivity analysis to assess and challenge the value proposition, drafting of investment proposals and presentations, day to day support to commercial engagements and contract negotiations, and a wide range of ad hoc activities. You report to the Commercial Director.
The commercial team plays a key part in value creation across the ONE-Dyas portfolio and has a leading role both in maximizing the value from existing assets and in developing new business opportunities. The team works closely with colleagues from all other departments; finance, legal, technical, operational, and ESG. The asset managers of the operated assets are part of the commercial team, and the team also plays a leading role in business development with deal leads generally assigned from their pool of commercial people.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- To support asset managers and deal leads in the economic and overall evaluation of business development opportunities, from initial assessment to investment proposals all the way up to implementation
- To support the resolution of commercial issues that ONE-Dyas faces across the portfolio ranging from joint well agreements, contract negotiations and dispute resolution to equity re-determinations
- To advise and assist the CFO and the corporate finance manager in arranging corporate and acquisition funding, which includes supporting the semi-annual RBL redeterminations
- To provide economic modelling support to the annual budget cycle and year plan process and to manage the annual decommissioning security process
- To support the ONE-Dyas gas and oil sales contract portfolio, tender processes and sales contract negotiations

Headquartered on the Zuidas in Amsterdam with ~150 employees, ONE-Dyas is also actively exploring carbon capture and green hydrogen opportunities as future energy solutions.
ONE-Dyas offers the opportunity to grow in a dynamic and hands-on work environment. If you join this team you will get the chance to play a key role in the pursuit of propositions that have a material impact on the business of ONE-Dyas. The remuneration package is attractive and contains:
- A base salary up to € 80.000 gross annual
- Discretionary performance bonus with a maximum of 20% and a solid track record on bonus payments
- 27 + 3 assigned holidays
- Mobility allowance of € 966 gross p/month
- Pension scheme based on defined contribution

To be successful as Economist & Commercial Advisor you need to be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and can-do attitude, strong commercial awareness and a natural focus on value creation. As a strong team player you need to be eager to learn and have first-rate communication skills, to effectively interface across various levels and disciplines.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree (e.g. finance/ business economics or engineering/ technical)
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in an analytical commercial role
- Proficient in economic modelling and excel
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Results-driven by being meticulous, diligent and detail-oriented
