This role gives you the opportunity to be a pioneer in designing and implementing internal control frameworks, drive continuous improvement, and optimize processes within the finance area, along with performing internal control reviews. It takes up 50% of your time, covering all the different locations in Europe, America and Asia.
As part of an international listed environment and the group controlling team, you are also responsible for all group-wide internal and external financial reporting, including external audits, treasury activities, and tax management.
Reporting to the Group Controller, you will work closely in a team of four and liaise with the international finance and controlling community.
Main tasks & responsibilities
- Internal Control Reviews: conduct internal control reviews, including interviews, control testing, summarizing findings, and following up on issues.
- External Audit: plan and co-ordinate external audits.
- Process Improvement: drive continuous improvement of internal controls and financial processes and follow up on audit findings.
- Financial Statements: prepare annual consolidated IFRS financial statements, including ESEF.
- IFRS Standards: ensure correct group-wide adaptation of IFRS standards, including preparing accounting position papers.
- Tax Management Support: prepare documents and analyses for tax compliance, tax accounting and transfer pricing.
- Ad-Hoc Projects: support management with finance-related projects such as M&A, corporate finance activities, and new reporting requirements.

Kendrion designs, manufactures, and deliver intelligent actuators that help advance the global push towards electrification and sustainable energy. These compact, smart actuators are used in wind turbines, robots, factory automation, electric vehicles, energy distribution, and industrial heating processes, where they support OEM customers around the world to transition to safer and cleaner forms of energy.
In april 2024 Kendrion announced that it has entered into an agreement to sell its automotive business in Europe and the United States. Through this transaction Kendrion initiates a strategic repositioning by focusing entirely on industrial growth opportunities in Europe, the US and China. The proceeds from the sale will be used to strengthen the balance sheet and to reinvest in the Industrial business. The strategic shift in its portfolio will enable Kendrion to strengthen its position in driving the worldwide transition to electrification and sustainable energy.

You possess a sharp, independent mind with a hands-on mentality and can effectively prioritize a wide range of tasks. You are an enthusiastic, proactive, and self-starting personality with a drive to make a difference.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience, preferably within one of the big4 accounting firms
- Master's degree in finance or accountancy
- Strong affinity with internal control frameworks and process development
- Ability to balance different priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a structured manner
- Proficient with information technology, such as BI systems and AI
- Strong analytical skills and experience with ERP solutions
- Fluent in English, with a good knowledge of Dutch is preferred
- Occasional travel to the international locations will be required
