Senior Software Engineer
As a senior software engineer in the MWS (Mobile WorkStation) team you are responsible for designing, programming, testing, and maintaining software for airports baggage handling. The software is part of the VIBES suite which implements business logic for the material handling systems and interaction with the baggage control room operators at customer airports. The complex functionality of VIBES includes controls for logistical transport and planning, communication with external systems, monitoring, reporting, data analysis and simulation.
You are part of an agile SCRUM team, working together to deliver component functionality on a regular basis. Together with the team and the product owner you analyze, estimate, and implement features, create component releases, and assist each other to meet the set goals, while focusing on quality and engineering best practices.

You are an enthusiastic and result-driven software engineer with a hands-on attitude and you thrive at:
- Being proactive and solution driven
- Participating in software and system design for complex features
- Implementing code from SW Designs and component requirements
- Analyzing, troubleshooting and fixing internally and externally encountered problems and requested changes
- Pair programming and reviewing code of your team members
- Being a committed team player in an Agile team
- Taking part in refining features and defining user stories
- Taking part in continuous improvement through sharing of knowledge and improvement points within the team
You should also have the following qualifications / a working knowledge of:
- C# /.NET (WPF, WCF, MVVM),
- Visual Studio
- NUnit
- The Scrum Agile methodology, including Scrum
- Atlassian tooling (JIRA, BitBucket)
- Docker
- Knowledge of Java EE, Maven and IntelliJ is an advantage
- Both oral and written English.
Education and experience
- Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
- 5 – 10 years working experience as a software engineer
