About this vacancy
A unique opportunity for a service-oriented senior financial to achieve results through people. You will face daily challenges that allow you to add value to the globally recognized, growing and one-of-a-kind retail furniture concept of IKEA.
In this position, you are part of group finance reporting to the Manager Financial Reporting and Control. The team is responsible for reporting and controlling of the group’s financial performance. To navigate and steer the financial performance of the business, it’s needed to deliver high-quality financial information and analyses. You will also contribute to topics such as the group’s financial frame, remuneration model, budget, cash flow and profitability. Elementary is managing internal and external stakeholders by fulfilling the required (legal) obligations. You will be working in a dynamic and multinational environment, as well as being well represented in the team.
On a daily basis, you will:
- Deliver timely and reliable reporting for Inter IKEA Group, including:
- monthly managerial reporting, for which you continuously develop quality and relevant content.
- consolidated budgets and forecasts.
- the Annual Report.
- Effectively communicate frameworks, goals, priorities, and all other relevant information to key stakeholders.
- Develop and implement frameworks for the Accounting & Reporting function within the Inter IKEA Group, including:
- constant improvement of existing policies and manuals.
- policies and routines for group and local reporting processes.
- identifying opportunities to develop/improve existing reporting processes and solutions.
- incorporate GAAP requirements into the Inter IKEA Group reporting standards.
- Be a center of expertise on Dutch GAAP, IFRS, the Inter IKEA Group accounting manual and common chart of accounts, consolidation processes and (internal and external) reporting requirements.
- Support stakeholders throughout the organization in complying to the Inter IKEA Group accounting & reporting framework, and actively represent group finance & reporting in forums, projects and reference groups.
- Lead the implementation of EU Taxonomy reporting.
- Support external audits by preparing audit materials such as position papers.
- Support competence development and succession in the Accounting & Reporting function.

To be successful in this role, the following knowledge, skills and experiences would be valuable:
- Minimum of 8 years of increasingly responsible relevant experience.
- Post-master degree “Registeraccountant” (RA) or equivalent.
- Extensive and in-depth knowledge of Dutch Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), internal controls, financial reporting and tax laws and regulations.
- Experience in a similar role is preferable.
- Experience with SAP BPC is a plus.
- Capability to analyze, draw conclusions and act on them with a holistic business understanding.
- Prioritize and strike a balance between keeping a good overview and paying attention to detail, including willingness to go into detail.
- Work collaboratively across organizational and geographical boundaries.
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
