The Systems Design Engineer designs a complete and complex framework, system or product and defines processes for technical platforms. This includes working with stakeholders and implementation of products, features and technologies.
This role provides technical leadership within a cross-functional team, acting as an advisor for both customer technical and project personnel. You'll manage requirements for new products, features, and technology developments, considering needs from both external stakeholders (customers) and internal stakeholders. Your responsibilities include identifying and resolving weaknesses in system design and leading the creation of system specifications and formalized solutions (e.g., flowcharts, models) that meet customer needs. Additionally, you'll contribute to systems architecture development with roadmaps that aim to expand features, reduce costs, pursue integration opportunities, and improve quality. Furthermore, you'll advise internal Sensata sub-system design teams, refining product, feature, technology, and specification implementation to ensure alignment with stakeholder needs. Ultimately, you'll influence the shaping of future products by contributing to a framework that applies across multiple products or systems.
