Working at the top of superyacht construction with a leading yacht builder
Due to growth, we are looking for an Engineer for the Special Engineering department at this specialist in superyacht construction. As an Engineer, you will be jointly responsible for a coordinated, high-quality, and timely development of the final design of a superyacht.
In your daily activities, you will be responsible for detail engineering, 3D models, and various datasheets of the project your team is assigned to. The scope for an Engineer Special Engineering/Exterior includes:
- Integration of yacht equipment and exterior doors with other disciplines, seamlessly integrated into the EXT design.
- Integration of shaftline and rudder systems.
- Developing deck, ceiling, teak, and railing arrangements.
- Developing local arrangements such as furniture, stairs, pillars, masts, and sun awnings.
For the development of arrangements, you will receive input from a designer/suppliers, which must be assessed for feasibility and manufacturability. You will have frequent contact with Lead/Senior Engineers, production departments, and suppliers. For integration work, you will have close contact with engineers and senior engineers from other engineering disciplines. In the role of engineer, you will be directly managed by a Senior Engineer.

- A good salary between €2,950 - €4,400 (based on knowledge and experience).
- 38 days off (25 vacation days and 13 ADV days for a full-time position).

- MBO/HBO working and thinking level, relevant work experience preferably in a similar position in yacht construction, aerospace, or train industry. Additionally, you possess knowledge and skills such as:
- Creating mechanical drawings for assemblies and single parts.
- Knowledge of high-quality materials and finishing levels.
- Awareness of and ability to work with schedules and deadlines.
- Ability to make hour estimates/own task lists for feedback to the senior engineer regarding status and progress.
- Weight estimates.
- Knowledge of production techniques and experience with the manufacturability of engineered parts is important.
- For this position, it is necessary that you master the Dutch and/or English language. You are familiar with software such as NX (pre), Solid Edge/SolidWorks (pre), Teamcenter, ACAD, MS Office.
- Additionally, you have knowledge of relevant regulations such as LROS, REG YC A/B, and SOLAS.
